Nancy Donohue
Nancy Donohue is the vice chair and co-founder of Summit Rock Advisors.
Summit Rock provides financial advice and portfolio management for a select number of U.S.-based families and charitable institutions. The firm serves as the outsourced investment office for each client, providing independent advice and customized solutions. Summit Rock oversees approximately $26.8 billion for 50 clients1.
Nancy is focused on long-term stewardship of Summit Rock’s investment program. She guides the firm’s next generation of leaders. She engages with clients to share investment views and support achievement of their goals. Nancy was recently named to Forbes 50 Women Over 50 for her contributions to the investment community.
Since co-founding Summit Rock in 2007, Nancy has played a central role in leading the firm’s investment program. As Chief Investment Officer she designed the asset allocation framework that pairs low-fee index positions with access to elite hedge fund, private equity, and venture capital managers. As Chief Investment Strategist she developed and led a program to communicate macro, market and manager themes to clients in a way that inspires trust and confidence.
Prior, Nancy was at Harvard Management Company, where she led $16 billion of investments and oversaw the university’s defined benefit pension plan. Earlier, she worked on Wall Street including at O’Connor & Associates and Goldman Sachs.
Nancy is a graduate of Brown University and serves on the Watson Board of Overseers. She is a graduate of Harvard Business School and member of the Alumni Advisory Board. She is a trustee of Mountainfilm, a documentary film festival with educational tours based in Telluride, Colorado.
